This is a very small and less than spectacular member of the Dendrochilums. The tiny flash of colour in the flower adds a degree of attractiveness but there are more desirable plants to hunt down before settling for this one for the average grower. It is difficult to obtain and its rarity makes it a real collectors species.
It comes from Luzon in the Philippines and likes warm humid conditions and likes to be grown in good quality sphagnum moss. Basically all Dendrochilums grow in misty cloud forest environments and get a lot of indirect light.
