Coelogyne flaccida and Coelogyne Unchained Melody are two very attractive parents in this example of a species crossed with a primary hybrid (A primary hybrid is the combination of two species) to form a secondary hybrid (combining more than two species).

The bottom right image compares the flowers of the two hybrids. With the influence of Coelogyne flaccida coming from both parents it's not surprising that the resulting flower has been heavily influenced by Coel flaccida. The new off-spring has much more distinct lines on the inner lobes, darker markings and more clearly defined lip keels. The sepals and petals have lost the softness of the original Coelogyne cristata influence and taken on a smart, stiffer habit from Coelogyne flaccida, although marginally smaller.

Negatives: If one wants to nit pick, the flowers may be spaced a little further apart on Coelogyne Rebekah Banks than Coelogyne Unchained Melody.

Rating: ♦♦♦♦ A big attraction of this hybrid is the very strong perfume. If you have any space at all, it makes a nice companion for Coelogyne Unchained Melody.
